You know, this DA account is nearly 10 years old. Crazy, right?

I look back at some of the artwork I submitted years and years ago and sometimes I think to myself, "What happened to that guy? That guy had talent. That guy was going places."

Indeed I see some of my earlier work and it seems so much... I don't know... easier? More appealing with much less effort. I don't remember putting in nearly as much effort into doing some of the pieces I really like from my past as I do into work I'm not happy with now.

It really does seem I'm working so much harder for much less reward in terms of appealing artwork compared to how things were before... well before I went to art school.

lol.

I don't know. Maybe it's just part of the struggle.

Regardless, there's nothing to do but to go forward. Maybe I can't find the innocent carefree mindset and approach to artwork that I had when I was younger. Maybe I will. But I won't find it by continuing to be stuck in the past. Though it is good to look back now and then.

So if you're looking for me, look to the future. That's where I'll be, and that's where I'm going.

Happy Holidays, y'all!

Hey guys.

So as you can tell from the drawing I uploaded a week or so ago, I'm taking part in this year's Comic Creators for Freedom project. Well guess what? The donation drive starts on Monday.

Here's some more info for ya, right from the source:

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." -Margaret Mead

Wednesday, January 11th is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. To participate, we formed the Comic Creators for Freedom– a group of over 100 comic book creators who volunteered our artistic talents to raise money and awareness for this cause. You may not know it, but there are currently 27 million enslaved people worldwide- more than double the number of enslaved Africans during the trans-Atlantic slave trade. UNICEF estimates that 1.2 million children every year are sold into slavery, most of it sexual. The US Department of Justice estimates 16,000 victims of human trafficking are brought into the United States every year. Unlike slavery in the past, what is happening today is happening in secret. It won't end until awareness is raised, and people like you and me take a stand.

So here's what we did: each creator contributed an original drawing of one of our own female characters, and combined them into a single wallpaper image! The wallpaper features characters from all over the web, including Girls with Slingshots, The Dreamland Chronicles, Kukuburi, Earthsong Saga, Looking for Group, Love and Capes, The Dreamer, and tons more! Donate today to download this unique, once-in-a-lifetime wallpaper.

The Donations Drive will last for two weeks, from Monday January 9th – 20th. All proceeds will be split evenly between Love 146 and Gracehaven House- two organizations working on rehabilitation of victims and prevention of this crime.

To learn more about the CCA visit www.comiccreatorsforfreedom. To learn more about the problem, visit love146.org/slavery. (Note: contains adult themes and actual accounts of sex slavery.)

Ya heard?

I'd consider it a personal favour to me if you at least checked it out and hopefully donated to the cause.

Tada! New comic. Published on the web. Makes it a webcomic, I guess.

It's called Donnybrook. It's a superhero comic about Winifred Winters, once a WWII flying ace Nazi killer and now just a plain old superhuman and her government agent partner Rhoda van der Woerd, whose job it is to keep her in line as they both take on the super jerks of the world. Well country. Well... more like province. Southern part of the province.

You can find it here: donnybrook.thecomicseries.com/. I plan to update twice a week. I'll be backing that thang up here too.

And that is all for now!

Edit: Fixed the Links.

Hey, dudes.

So fer shits n' giggles, I've decided to start a webcomic....

... well that's bull. If you've been paying attention you know that I've always wanted to do a webcomic. Well I finally got off my ass and get started.

It's a gag webcomic... not the kind I wanted to but it's a good starting point and it's fun. Anyway the website is:

waywardhours.wordpress.com/

I'll be posting new comics there and older comics here to keep people in the know and spread the word. Hope you enjoy it!

I'm also working on another webcomic - a story based one this time. Wish me luck!
